As many of you are already aware we are undergoing a very tough time in our country. Prices seem to be high on most necessities and most folks are taking pay cuts or loosing there jobs. If you are going through a hard financial time this does not mean that you have to give up the foods that can put on muscle and go into famine mode and catabolize all muscle mass. There is still ways to eat healthy, stay in shape and feel great during these tough economic times. Here are 10 tips to keep a little more money in your wallet and make the right choices in the super market.

-Buy only the must have Bodybuilding Supplements like whey protein and cheap creatine.
-Buy cheap complex carbs like brown rice and sweet potatoes to add to your protein sources.
- A Costco or BJ's supermarket card goes a long way in buying bulk chicken breast.
-Try find a good supplier of bulk protein powder so you do not end up paying for labels and package.
-Use the coupons and watch for specials and sales on products.
-If you can afford one a flip top freezer and a vacuum sealer are great investments to save food when you find a great deal and can afford to buy a lot.
-You can find a fairly cheap dehydrator on ebay and when meat is cheap make dry beef jerky and dry fruit for snacks.
-Dont be afraid to look in the newspaper for weekly deals on foods from your supermarket.
-Expired supplements are sold at clearance prices at websites or local Nutrition stores for less than half price and are usually just as good as the non expired ones.
-Use the basic seasoning for your needs and dont be a pack rat with a bunch of exotic seasonings, they can be pricey and a lot of times you might end up throwing them in a corner.
